Frequently Asked Questions
Q1
How much does maths and physics tutoring cost?
Individual lessons are £40.
Q2
Are you DBS checked?
Yes. I have a DBS Certificate proving I've had a background check for working with children.
Q3
What are your qualifications?
I have several years of tutoring experience working along side my degree. I got AAA in A Level Physics, Mathematics and Biology in 2022 and I have a place at Bath University to study Physics. I've also worked with students as a Teaching Assistant.
Q4
What happens if I cancel?
Sometimes life gets in the way, so I'll do my best to accommodate you. Just give me as much notice as you can and I'll do my best to reschedule you at a more suitable time
Q5
How far in advance should I start tutoring?
The sooner you have a tutor the bigger the impact will be. However, if you have exams coming up sooner than that, don't worry. you can still benefit from tutoring. Get in touch and let's get you exam-ready.
Q6
How frequently do I need to have a maths or physics tutoring session?
I recommend 1 lesson a week. However, (especially closer to exams) sometimes people like to book multiple sessions in a week for an extra boost.
Q7
What equipment is needed for the maths or physics tutoring session?
-
A computer/laptop/tablet
-
Zoom or Google Meet (Google Meet recommended)
-
An email address for me to send through any tasks to complete before the following session (Must be a personal email address and not a school one as most schools have blocked external calls).
-
The basics: pen, pencil, calculator, eraser.
